Optimal Design and Performance Analysis of Solar PV Integrated UPQC for Distribution Network

The increasing number of electricity consumers results in power quality problems the distribution system. Solar photovoltaic integrated unified conditioner (UPQC-PV) is a widely adopted device that can improve system's voltage and current quality. This paper presents an optimal design performance analysis with double-stage solar system (UPQC-PV). A technique based on sequence component detection (SCD) unit vector template generation (UVTG) proposed for UPQC-PV control. Using SCD technique, fundamental active distorted load estimated, which used to generate reference signal shunt compensator consists series compensators; eliminates harmonic currents produced by nonlinear loads extracts generated PV array. In addition, compensates grid side such as sags/swells. Hence, simultaneously perform clean energy improvement. evaluated MATLAB-Simulink software under different conditions.
